Lee Hornberger Named Chair of State Bar of Michigan’ ADR Section

PREMi professional Lee Hornberger has been named Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the State Bar of
Michigan for 2017-18. Lee previously served as Chair-Elect before stepping into his new role as Chair.

“It is an honor and a privilege to serve as Chair of the State Bar’s ADR Section, an organization that does tremendous work to
promote dispute resolution throughout the State of Michigan,” said Lee, a Traverse City-based mediator and arbitrator.

The mission of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section is to encourage
conflict resolution by:

– Providing training and education for ADR professionals;
– Giving professionals the tools to empower people in conflict to create optimal resolutions; and
– Advancing the use of alternative dispute resolution processes in our courts, government, businesses, and communities.

Lee is a past recipient of the ADR Section’s George N. Bashara, Jr. Award and the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime
Achievement Award. He is a member of The National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, included in The Best Lawyers in America 2018 for his work in arbitration, and has been named the 2016 and 2017 Michigan Super Lawyers lists for
alternative dispute resolution. He is an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association, Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Forum, Michigan Employment Relations Commission, National
Futures Association, and National Mediation Board.
