Finding a PREMi Resolution Specialist Near You…

PREMi  is an organization of dispute resolution experts who have numerous years experience in the various dispute resolution techniques.

William L. Weber, Jr.

William Weber possesses a rich background of litigation, commercial, and government relations experience that not only informs his mediation, arbitration, and private facilitation practice, but which has also helped him to place PREMi at the forefront of ADR services in Michigan.

In the early stages of a career that has spanned more than four decades, Bill was an antitrust lawyer for the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, D.C. before joining the legal staff of the Automobile Industry Trade Association as Senior Antitrust Counsel.  Later, he joined the General Motors law department, serving in a number of roles including Attorney in Charge of Environmental Law, Assistant General Counsel, Practice Area Manager, Legal Advisor to numerous GM committees and top management, and Special Counsel for legal and legislative matters.

Bill’s negotiation, human relations, and management skills help him lead and contribute to PREMi’s ongoing mission to be the foremost provider of ADR solutions in the state.  He oversees his own docket of ADR matters and advises PREMi clients in selecting appropriate PREMi neutrals agreeable to all parties involved in particular disputes.

Recognized for his deep knowledge of arbitration and mediation and their many applications, Bill has appeared before the Michigan legislature, lobbying on behalf of new laws and reforms intended to cultivate more widespread adoption of ADR as an alternative to traditional courtroom litigation. For his efforts, the State Bar of Michigan’s ADR Section conferred upon him its Distinguished Service Award for 2013.

Mr. Weber joined the roster of Emeritus Members of the State Bar of Michigan when he moved to Seattle, Washington in 2019.
